Vigo · the origins
A city by the sea and a family with German in it
I was born in Vigo. My mother and my grandfather brought German into the house before I knew what a declension was. I studied Hispanic Philology in Santiago and discovered that languages were my thing.

Santiago · the training
Two master's degrees and German in earnest
European literature and theatre. Pedagogy. And the German classes I started out of curiosity and couldn't give up. That's where I learned what a language costs an adult, and it's why I can explain one properly today.

Kassel · three years
Teaching Spanish in Germany
I lived with a German family and taught Spanish in primary and secondary schools, in companies, for publishers and privately. That's where the name comes from: when something makes no sense, a German says it "sounds like Spanish". Their Spanish is your Greek.

Das kommt mir Spanisch vor
I came back to Spain and my German students stayed with me over video call. Then came the Spaniards who want German, and learners of Spanish from further afield. Today I teach in both directions, in groups of five at most, in three languages.
